Erich Fromm - The Art of Loving
I earned my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in family from Saint Louis University in 2004. In order to better understand the needs of couples and families, I pursued additional training and completed 500-clinical hours in a post-graduate Marriage and Family Therapy Certification program at Saint Louis University in 2008. In 2010, I became fully licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. As a therapist I believe it is important to continue developing my clinical skills to better serve my clients with the varying issues they present.
In holding true to this belief, I am currently increasing my specialization through continued training and supervision toward completing the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Certification in Sex Therapy and becoming fully licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy.
It is my passion for people and relationships that led me to this profession. I enjoy helping couples identify areas for improvement in their relationship and find ways to re-connect and build a healthier, more satisfying relationship. I also enjoy working with individuals searching for better ways to manage stress, anger, depression and anxiety. Assisting clients in identifying their strengths and self-worth as well as ways to adjust to life-changes and transitions (i.e. grief, job-changes, relocation, etc.) are among some of the common presenting issues I’ve successfully helped clients overcome. I am able to do this by meeting you where you are on your journey, using a therapeutic process that focuses on your needs and goals.
